In Spring 2019, MWGC kicked off what we see as a long and successful relationship with the Town of Breckenridge. MWGC was selected as the General Contractor for the Stephen C. West Ice Arena Addition & Alterations project. Designed by Matthew Stais Architects, the addition includes two new locker rooms with attached restrooms, a referee room with a restroom, storage room, new lockers, and mechanical room. Two new offices on the second floor will incorporate 483 square-feet of repurposed space.
MWGC laid the foundation, completed all of the site grading, concrete trails, gravel trails and seeding needed to properly build Castle Rock’s newest adventure attraction. The trekking tower is a pre-fabricated structure designed in Germany and fabricated in Canada. The Trekking Tower is hexagon in shape, measuring 100 feet in diameter and standing 50 feet high. The complicated layout (all angles) provided a unique challenge for our project team.
The Town of Vail's Park Improvements project included MWGC remodeling and adding several park structures to Bighorn and Ford Parks. Patio pave stones were placed around popular locations, additional stairs were built leading to water features, a 26-square foot wood frame ground up storage shed was added, and the construction of a planter and arbor was also implemented to display a variety of landscape plantings.
The Metzler Ranch Community Park Concessions building supports four softball fields, picnic shelters and a skate park on this 10-acre park for Douglas County and the residents of Castle Rock. The 3,946-sq-ft masonry building was constructed with engineered wood trusses and metal roofing. The building incorporates three separate areas including the men’s and women’s restrooms with a mechanical room separating the two areas.
The recreation center serves the occupants of the 800 homes that encompass the Providence Village neighborhood. Designed by EV Studios, the structure is 2 stories and 6,000 square feet. The exterior of the building reflects the quality and fine craftsmanship of the houses around it. The interior of the ground floor of the facility has an exercise room and high-end locker room. A second floor “Great Hall” will be used for community events.
Denver Connection Hub is the central gathering point for the AVION development in Denver. The community center is perfect for entertaining, socializing, and community gatherings. Amenities include a fitness room, swimming pool and spa, indoor and outdoor kitchens, and multi-purpose club rooms.
We've enhanced the Snowmass Village Town park with fresh landscaping, improved parking flow, and upgraded the Snowmass Rodeo grounds. The rodeo area now features new grandstands, a reoriented arena, and a revamped entry gate. Plus, we've added a maintenance facility beneath the grandstands for the Snowmass Recreation, Parks & Trails department.
